
Meet Savelia
My name is Savelia Stoykova and I've been practicing yoga for over 10 years. I'm a certified Iyengar yoga teacher (Introductory II level) trained at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India — the birthplace of the Iyengar method.
I also teach reformer Pilates, combining the precision of Iyengar alignment with the strength-building principles of Pilates. My mission is to make mindful movement accessible to everyone — regardless of age, flexibility, or experience.
My Teaching Philosophy
I believe yoga is not about touching your toes — it's about what you learn on the way down. Every class I teach is built on the Iyengar principles of precision, alignment, and individual attention. I use props extensively because they're not crutches — they're tools for deeper understanding.
My approach is therapeutic first. Many of my students come with back pain, stiff shoulders, anxiety, or injuries. I design each class to address these real-world needs while building strength, flexibility, and body awareness over time.
Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner, I meet you where you are. There's no competition, no pushing beyond your limits. Just careful, intelligent practice that your body and mind will thank you for.
Training & Journey
First steps in yoga
Began practicing yoga in Sofia, drawn to the method by persistent back pain that nothing else had solved.
Deepening the Iyengar path
Committed to studying the Iyengar method exclusively. Began attending workshops with senior certified teachers across Europe.
Training in Pune, India
Studied at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune — the world center of Iyengar yoga. Received Introductory II certification.
Reformer Pilates certification
Expanded teaching practice to include reformer Pilates, combining yoga's alignment principles with Pilates strength training.
Teaching in Sofia
Currently teaching at IY Studio Namaste, Yoga Vibe Bulgaria, and Yoga Vibe SanStefano. Private sessions and group classes, yoga and Pilates.

Iyengar Yoga

Spring-resistance training on the reformer machine. Core strength, posture correction, and injury rehabilitation.
